Usually, the ventilations are classified into two major types which are intake vents and exhaust vents. Intake vents contain soffit or eave vents while exhaust vents contain static roof vents, ridge vents, powered roof vents (attic fans), bath fans and dryer exhaust vents.

  • Intake vents:

Soffit/eave vents:

Soffit vents are classified under intake vents. These events play an important role to keep the temperature of your attic cool in summer and hot in winter. Intake vents are installed at the soffit or eave vents.

Static roof vents:

Static vents are used to through the air out from the attic to stabilize the atmosphere. Static vents are less expensive because it does not require electricity to work. They are available in a variety of colors to allowing you to choose what you want.

Ridge vents:

Ridge vents are installed and covered by the roofing material used on the rest of the roof to make it blend to look of your home. Whenever you want to install a ridge vent it is necessary to have an equal amount of intake ventilation. This allows to enter the air in the lower level and travels up to the top of the roof. An insufficient amount of ventilation will react effectively to the ridge vent. It is also called ridge cap vents.

Powered roof vents:

Powered roof vents are also called “attic fans”. These attic fans are covered by the vault to keep the elements entering from the roof. Another advantage of attic fans is that it can produce the same result as taken by multiple static fans. It also improves the flow of air in your attic.

Bath fans & dryer exhaust vents:

These bath fans work simply as used in many of our houses. These exhausted fans ventilate the fresh air to enter in the attic of our home. These fans and dryer always exhausted the air externally. The warm air exhausted from both of these sources are dangerous for your attic and it may damage your roof and structure of your home.

Insulated roof vents:
